Due to the amount of annoying spam, I’ve been posting over at my JHD blog lately…I’m not totally giving up on this one…I just haven’t had the time to figure out how to have comments enabled and not get so much spam :(

I just noticed that Chloe has her third bottom tooth coming in!! I can’t believe it :( Nothing on the top yet…just the bottom… She getting closer to crawling…probably just a week or two away! HELP!!! LOL ;)

I can’t believe it’s 2007…the last year and a half flew right by me :( Chloe turned 9 months old on Dec. 29th! She’s sitting up a bit better now, but still isn’t crawling…although she has been going up on her knees like she’s getting ready to! She’s sick right now :( She has a cough and a fever. I ended up having to to hold her on the couch, all of last night, and will be holding her a bit more to see if she’ll go back to sleep, as soon as my coffee is ready!

The kids are still on vacation, and don’t go back until Jan. 8th. Our holidays were okay…nothing exciting happened…they were quite relaxing :) Oops! My coffee is ready…I’m going to scoot and get Chloe :)

That seems to be Chloe’s first word!! She said it for the first time, clear as day, just a few nights ago :) She’s been saying “da” for a while now, but she actually sounded out “Da-dee” this time, and has now been saying it quite often! She has made sounds that are similar to “momma”, and that is mainly when she is in her crib, and wants out! lol She’s also been rolling all over the place, and can sit up even better now, for small amounts of time. She can’t pull herself up into sitting position though, and no crawling yet…which is fine with me! :P Her two teeth are just about even now too…they are so cute…they look like two little white Chicklets! heehee! :)

The kids and I have had colds for the past week, which I’m pretty sure we caught from Chloe. She ended up getting sick after her last flu shot…it may have been because it was her second dose in a month…but also just visiting the doctor’s office could have done it…all of those sickos running around there :P We are getting better though…just some stuffy noses, and Josh has a bit of a cough. Luckily, I was feeling great on Thanksgiving, and the day before…we actually had company over! :D My friend Lisa, her hubby and daughter, Brianna, all came over for a late Thanksgiving lunch, on Thursday :) I even felt well enough to clean the house the day before! The back deck looks wonderful too…the kids helped me rake all of the leaves off of it, and clean up the mess we had back there…Daisy’s kennel was still there, with toys piled on top, and just a bunch of extra odds and ends were out there. It’s so nice to look out there and see a clean area :)

Well, I guess that’s about it for me…I think I’ll head off to bed early tonight…we had Mexican with Lisa and Brianna, and the margaritas I had are making me feel a bit tired :P Toodles! :)

She turned 7 months on Oct. 29th :( The last month just flew right by…*sigh* Her first tooth is about half way out now, and we noticed on her 7 month birthday that her second bottom tooth is starting to peek out a bit! She was also rolling all over the place on that day…more than she ever has before, and purposefully too. In the past she would roll over on accident, and get frustrated! Her favorite foods are still carrots, pears, applesauce, and squash…I was able to get her to eat bananas tonight too, which she usually doesn’t really care for :)

We just got back from Chloe’s 6 month checkup, and while we were in the waiting room, I noticed that her bottom right tooth is starting to come out!! That would explain why she was a little extra fussy yesterday evening :( It’s just barely sticking out right now…I can’t believe she’s getting it already :( I’ll try to get a picture of it soon ;) She had 4 shots today…one of which was a flu shot, and of course she cried her little eyes out :( We’ll be going back Nov. 9th for a second flu shot, and then after that she will get just one shot a year. They like to double up on the shots at 6 months just to build up the immunity. Tim’s car wouldn’t start this morning, so I had to take him to work, and will pick him up this evening. I think we’ll end up going out to eat for dinner, so that should be fun :)

Chloe’s stats: 15lbs. 7oz. and 26 inches long :)

I need to scoot…just had to record this milestone so that I won’t forget it! LOL My memory stinks :P

Tis true…Chloe ate prunes for the first time this morning, and she actually likes them!! She doesn’t care for bananas still…go figure :P New stuff on the Chloe front…She’s now 6 months old (Sept. 29th), she’s getting better at picking up her binky and getting it into her mouth all by herself! She’s sitting up a bit better too, but still not on her own. She is also starting to roll from her back to her tummy, but does get hung up on her left arm quite a bit though. She’s just as happy as ever…constantly smiling, giggling, chattering on…she says “da-da” a lot :)

Abigail has some exciting news…she’s been working on two different drawings for two different contests at school. The first is for her library (she’s the only one at school that was chosent to do this)…the library can win $500 if her drawing is picked to go into this special library calendar, and Abby will get 20 copies of the calendar. No news on if she’s won that one yet. The next one was for keeping Nashville beautiful, and the kids were supposed to draw a picture representing that. The contest included 74 children, all 3rd and 4th graders from various schools here in Nashville. First place was $1500 for the child’s school’s art dept., second place was $1000, and third was $500…PLUS, the pictures will be featured on either garbage or recycling trucks here in Nashville. WELL…Miss Abby WON FIRST PLACE!!! :D We went to the ceremony, last weekend, and she got to meet the mayor again. She saw him last year at the Mayor’s Art Show when her picture was chosen for the show. Her two art teachers are splitting the money, and are planning on buying her a little gift too :) We are SO proud of her! We haven’t even gotten to see the picture yet…hopefully we will soon :)

I renewed my Gold’s Gym membership, on Friday :) I was able to get the 6 months free special again! I’m planning on starting Tuesday since the kids have Monday off from school. My goal is to start going every Monday, Wednesday and Friday…I really want to get in shape, and Chloe seems to do okay in the nursery there. It stinks that they are now charging for child care though…it was free last year :(

Anyhoo…I guess that’s about it for now. I’m sure I’m forgetting something…lol

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted! I would skip writing about the things that have been going on, but I like having a record of it for myself, since my memory is so unreliable ;)

Let’s see…Chloe is 5 1/2 months old now!! She’s now able to wear size 6-9 month clothing…it’s so sad each time I find another outfit that she can no longer fit into :( She’s a supported sitter right now…if you sit her up on her own, she’ll fall over to the side…lol She’s been eating solid food for the past 5 weeks! We started out with rice cereal to start, then the next weekend we did bananas, which she didn’t care for all that much. The weekend after that we tried carrots, and she LOVES those :) The next weekend (last weekend) we tried peaches, and she isn’t too keen on those either. I think we might do squash this coming weekend. She’s also been babbling a lot, and says “da-da and na-na” a lot. I’m not sure if she actually realizes that “da-da” is like daddy yet. She is still an extremely happy baby, and smiles at everyone :) She did have her first “scare” from a stranger, about three weeks ago. I had gone to Longhorn Steakhouse with Jen and her mom, and the manager came over to chat with Jen. He’s a VERY sweet guy, but his voice was very loud and booming, and Chloe was very tired, and the two mixed just made her break down into tears!! I felt so bad for her, and for him! I had to explain to him that she was tired…I hope he didn’t feel too badly. I saw him again on Wednesday, and he was very nice to me, so I think all is forgiven :P LOL

Josh and Abby are doing pretty well in school. Josh still has more homework than Abby though…she only has homework when she hasn’t finished her daily classwork! They both are wanting me to home school them again, and I am considering it. There are a lot of pros, and I wouldn’t mind giving it another try…maybe for the rest of 4th grade, and if it is just too hard or they aren’t doing well with it, they could go back into school for 5th grade. If they DO end up staying in public school, there is an issue with the middle school…the one we are zoned for is terrible! We also run the risk of the kids getting accepted into different magnet schools, or none at all. We’ve pretty much decided to stay in this house for a while longer, since it is cheaper than moving, so our options for “good” schools are pretty low :( I’m really hoping that home schooling works out. I feel like I’d be able to do a better job with it, than last time…especially with them being older, and able to understand things better now. I also love the idea of them being home all the time, and Chloe getting to grow up around them more! So, we’ll see…it’s all up in the air still…Tim and I are both considering it though :)

Well, I can’t think of much else that has been going on…it wasn’t as much as I thought it was! LOL Every day is pretty much the same as the one before, around here ;) I need to scoot off and go pick the kids up from their friend’s house :) Toodle-loo!

Oh, and I do have some scrappin’ updates over at the JHD blog ;)

Okee-dokee…my new scrapbooking blog is now open, and this one here will be for family stuff only :) The URL for the scrap blog is: http://joyfulheartdesigns.blogspot.com/

I’ve decided to separate my family posts from my digi-scrappin’ posts, so look for a new blog poppin’ up in the near future! I have the URL already, but it’s still all ugly with a generic Blogger template :P heehee!
